Medication Management and the CMS Hospital Measure

Overview

Experts discuss how emergency departments can prepare to meet domain 2 of the new CMS Hospital Measure by introducing policies and procedures for responsible medication management.

Webinar Goals:

1. To explore best practices in medication management in the ED that enhance care of older patients.
2. To hear practical examples from pharmacists working in Geriatric EDs about useful tools to implement, including in rural and remote EDs
3. To introduce the GEDC Toolkit on Geri ED Medication Management.

The webinar will focus on how Geri EDs can implement improved processes of medication management and meet the CMS measure requirement.  This webinar will be of particular interest to pharmacists and other members of the interdisciplinary team in the ED.
