On June 15th, the GEDC and AAH came together for a Virtual Boot camp with the goal of implementing the Geriatric ED at five additional AAH sites to improve senior-friendly care. Advocate Good Samaritan, Aurora Memorial Hospital Burlington, Advocate Good Shepard, Aurora Lakeland Medical Center, and Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center will join the 10 existing AAH Geri ED sites. We thank you for your participation in this event and sharing the challenges and opportunities to provide care for older adults in your settings. We look forward to our next meeting and continuing to support your efforts for optimal emergency care for older adults.
The Bootcamp recording, slides, and other resources are available on this site. Additionally, please peruse the GEDC website for toolkits, upcoming events, webinar recordings, articles, and online courses. Aaron Malsch and Chris Rubach will work with each site to set implementation meetings, provide the templated documents, and answer any question regarding the AAH Geri ED program and implementation.
