The Geriatric Emergency Department Collaborative (GEDC) proudly congratulates our Co-Principal Investigator, Kevin Biese, on his promotion to Full Professor in the UNC Department of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Biese has dedicated his career to transforming emergency care for older adults through research, education, and implementation science. As a national leader in geriatric emergency medicine, he has helped shape best practices across the country through his leadership of GEDC, the American College of Emergency Physicians, and numerous national initiatives focused on improving care for older adults.
This promotion recognizes Dr. Biese’s longstanding commitment to advancing geriatric emergency care and his impact on clinicians, health systems, and millions of older adults nationwide. The GEDC team is grateful for his vision and leadership as we continue working to make age-friendly emergency care the standard across all emergency departments.
