National Nursing Home Network Launches to Share Best Practices for COVID-19 Control

Building on National Nursing Home Huddles facilitated by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) with support from JAHF, a new partnership between the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Project ECHO and IHI is launching to support nursing homes during the COVID-19 crisis. The National Nursing Home COVID-19 Action Network is now recruiting nursing homes from across the country to participate in a virtual community of practice for improving COVID-19 preparedness, safety, and infection control. We encourage all nursing homes to take advantage of this opportunity.

Nursing homes are invited join a new, virtual learning community of practice to help nursing homes with COVID-19 preparedness, safety, and infection control. The AHRQ ECHO National Nursing Home COVID-19 Action Network aims to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in nursing homes by engaging staff in a program of case-based learning, peer-to-peer sharing and mentoring from national experts. Nursing homes that complete 16-session curriculum will receive $6,000 through the Provider Relief Fund, and participating staff will earn CEU credits. Programs are launching now, so enroll today.
