Elder Mistreatment Toolkit Training: Module 3
This module introduces the elder mistreatment full screen and provides training to apply it in the emergency department.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this module, ED care providers will be able to:
- Explain the purpose of the Elder Mistreatment Full Screen (EM-Full Screen)
- Take concrete steps to help patients feel a sense of safety, heard, and supported during its administration
- Probe to learn more from patients, or to clarify or confirm understanding of what patients have said, when asking the screening questions
- Recognize when and how to conduct a physical assessment specific to this screening process
- Complete the EM-Full Screen fully and accurately
