A simple quick screen for dementia. Remember: this is not a diagnostic test; just a guide to quickly assessing this person’s ability to participate in care.

The Mini-Cog is a standard ED-appropriate screen for dementia. Adding the Clock Draw Test provides useful information about the person’s ability to process information.
